This painting was exhibited at the Beurs de Berlage in Amsterdam in 2009. I was inspired by the architecture in Amsterdam, which is reflected in the "block technique" created using a palette knife. The colours are a combination of soft and light, and dark and bold colours which reflect how I was feeling at the time, as I was pregnant with my son.
